Quick start guide for Argovis
General notes
- Chrome is the recommended browser for Argovis
- Queries on the browser are limited due to the large amount of data that can be imported from Argovis. With a large and growing percentage of profiles with 1000 points, it can take too long to create plots with so many points depending on the size of the selected region.
- To see more data from Argovis, import the data into your computing environment directly using the API. A few tutorials exist with examples in Matlab and Python to access profiles, floats, selected regions and metadata from Argovis. Please let us know if you have trouble using the API calls or need more help. argo@ucsd.edu
- The Gridded Argo Climatology link displays a few different gridded products, but the website is very basic at the moment. There is a plan to transition to a more interactive interface in the future.
