General information on Argovis

Argovis is a RESTful web app that contains good quality Argo profiles, gridded data sets (including Argo and SOSE), and weather event data. Use the menu to the left to learn more about how to utilize the modules in Argovis. Argovis is in constant development and so some of the pictures and tips on this User Guide may not match exactly. If you have any questions, please contact us.

• Chrome is the recommended browser for Argovis
• Queries on the browser are limited due to the large amount of data that can be imported from Argovis. With a large and growing percentage of profiles with 1000 points, it can take too long to create plots with so many points depending on the size of the selected region.
• To see more data from Argovis, import the data into your computing environment directly using the API.
• Use 'choose viewer' at the top of the webpage to move between the different modules that Argovis offers.
